Stable, sturdy, gigantic electric corner desk.

This desk is outstanding and far exceeded my expectations. I imagined it having some sort of wobble to it, but even after installing a 2'x8' and 2'x4' butcher block top (1 3/4" thick), this desk is solid as a rock. The butcher block alone weighs nearly 150lb, not to mention the desktop computer I've mounted on the underside of the desk, monitors, laptops, and lots of other items on top. The desk performs admirably under this load. I have overloaded it a few times, which was my own fault for putting too much heavy stuff on one side and exceeding the weight limit (which by my estimation is 110lb per leg, since the total limit is 330lb). Admittedly, the 150lb 4' and 8' sections of 1 3/4" butcher block is a bit excessive. Do I recommend using this heavy of a desktop? Not necessarily, but for my use case, I wouldn't trade it for any other top.It is nothing short of a massive desk with the 4' and 8' sections that I installed, and I couldn't be happier. Of course, you can install much smaller sections, but after using my $90 walmart particleboard sitting corner desk for 5 years, this desk is like a dream. I stand the majority of the time now, and I feel much better for it.I should also mention that Vivo phone support was outstanding when I called. I spoke with a technician who answered some questions I had about the desk controller. Vivo is also very responsive over email.If you are looking for the absolute best DIY electric standing desk available, you have found it. I scoured the internet and looked at hundreds of desks for days before selecting this one. After owning it for more than a month, I couldn't be happier with it.

Awesome sit-stand L-desk

It wasn't the easiest to assemble, but it wasn't terrible either. Part of assembly for me required having someone else look over the desk as a second set of eyes to make sure it looks aligned. You can assemble this solo, but having a second person help will speed it up.I took a risk on this brand as I have not purchased from them before, and it did not have as many reviews as I would have liked. That being said, it has been great so far. The motors all move in unison, and the saved memory for height is great for swapping between sitting and standing. It is very sturdy. I have my work computer and 3 monitors on the return side, and I have my personal computer and dual monitors, one which is a 34" ultrawide, on the main side. It has no issues holding up all that weight, including some accessories and other small items. I am very happy with this purchase.Note: their customer service is awesome! I thought my control unit was broken. I could program the height or manually adjust it, and then it would simply quit working until I unplugged it from the wall and plugged it back in. Support replied back almost immediately and explained that this is simply "sleep mode." To wake up the control unit, hold the "M" key for 3 seconds. Then you can adjust the height manually or with saved memory setting. At first I did not like this feature, but I love it now. On my old desk, my wife or kids would walk up to me while I am working, and they would lean up against the desk right on the control unit, causing it to raise or lower, which was annoying. On this desk, sleep mode prevents that from happening, so it is a great feature for me.

Solid and very functional

This desk frame has worked out well beyond what I could have imagined. I ordered custom butcher block tops to go on top and the end result was breathtaking. The frame is VERY sturdy and strong. The ability to effortlessly lift the entire desktop with all items on it has been impressive. Granted, I am not taxing the frame by massively overloading the desktop. Just normal use. I would HIGHLY recommend this unit. Oh, and given that it is expandable, I was able to create an impressive amount of desktop space with this unit. Check out the picture for the final look with the butcher block freshly installed.

works mostly great

I purchased this so that I could have an adjustable desk for my new office. (Previously, I had a "stand-only" desk) Given the prices in the market for equivalent product, this was a no-brainer. I bought ttwo nice wooden tabletops (30 x 60) from Ikea and mounted them after some careful measuring and layout. I'm pretty handy, so assembling the desk was straightforward. Now it is beautiful and BIG! A couple of points - 1. the instructions could have been written out on a larger document - saving a few bucks on the documents made for some squinting and careful reading. 2. With everything mounted, the table appears to move faster than it can tolerate, leading to an occasional "error" - I now move it very slowly and don't let it go to full speed to avoid the error. (reason for the star deduction) 3. On the long telescoping side, I inserted shims so that the cantilevered extension arms do not carry the full load of the desk without support. Wholeheartedly support anyone wanting to buy this system, just a few minor polish touches by this company, and it would get 5 stars.
